Grove City College Freshman finds optimism in visit to Zimbabwe
The widespread sense of optimism was an eye-opener for the Grove City College freshman, Tony LaRosa who was part of the contingent on a weeklong trip organized by the Nyadire Connection, based at Christ United Methodist Church in Bethel Park. The nonprofit organization seeks to support and sustain the Nyadire United Methodist Mission in northeastern Zimbabwe.

Grove City College engineering major scores at regional science conference
Grove City College mechanical engineering major Ken Kato '18 took second place in the undergraduate oral presentation category last week at the 12th Annual Regional Scientific Consortium Symposium held at the Tom Ridge Environmental Center in Erie. This is the second year in a row that a Grove City College research student has taken home a prize for a presentation at this symposium.

Local residents graduate from Grove City College
The following local residents were among the 595 students who received degrees during Commencement exercises at Grove City College on May 14, 2016. Delivering this year's Commencement address was Dr. Ben Carson, renowned pediatric neurosurgeon and former 2016 Republican presidential candidate. The Class of 2016 was the second largest class in Grove City College history, coming in just shy of the 596-member Class of 2010. In recent years, the Grove City College's four-year graduation rate has climbed to 78 percent, while its six-year graduation rate has reached 85 percent. The average graduation rate in the U.S. is 59 percent.
